Animated stories using Hopscotch, Coding for Kids

Hi guys!
Here you are your animated story using Hopscotch turned into a cartoon video.
Well done! You are very good coders but  excellent actors too!

Congrats!
Your animation has all the elements of a good story:

  •  It has got a title: "Escape on a starry night"
  •  There is a narrator and there are some dialogues
  •  There is a setting: Where and When the story takes place.
  •  There are heroes and villains, main characters and supporting characters, protagonists and antagonists...
  •  There is a plot that is all the action that takes place during the story.
  •  There is a conflict: the robbers try to escape from the police but the hero stops them.
  •  There is a climax: the villains are defeated and Pod saves Hopscotch City.
  •  There is a resolution: Hopscotch characters go out and celebrate the victory. Everybody is happy. It's a happy-ending.

Kids react to old computers!

Hi, guys!
Have you ever seen an old computer like this one on the video? Have you ever heard about old floppy disks?
Check it out on this hilarious video: "Kids react to Old Computers"
The kids are 6 to 13 years old and they discover one by one a huge and old Apple computer. A computer before the Internet Era!

Before the Internet even existed?!
One of the kids asks: " How do I look up for homework?
"Go to the library" - The man behind the camera says.
Pretty funny, isn't it?

Enjoy it!

Hi kids!
My dearest student Lucy Aurora sent this funny catchy video by mail and I decided to share it with all of you.
This Norwegian video was supposed to be a joke but people started loving it so it became viral! It's so hilarious!
I think it can be useful to revise animals, the sounds they make and adjectives to describe them.

Sing, dance, learn and enjoy!

Girls want to be engineers, not princesses!

Hello there!
The toy company Goldie Blox (toys for future inventors) made this amazing commercial with three little girls: Sabrina, Raven and Reese.
It's a video against stereotypes, against "pink" toys.
Girls, don't underestimate yourselves. You have got a great potential. You can be what you want to be. It could be great to be scientists, mathematicians, engineers or computer programmers! It could be great to create the things you imagine.

Why the toys for girls are not usually toys that encourage girls to enter in technology or engineering?
Why do girls always have to play with dollhouses?
At Our school,  we want to change things, so girls and boys are learning  programming language with two free amazing iPad apps:  Daisy the Dinosaur for 1st & 2nd grades,  Hopscotch  for 3rd & 4th grades and Scratch for 5th & 6th grades.

I really love Hopscotch!!
