Girls want to be engineers, not princesses!

Hello there!
The toy company Goldie Blox (toys for future inventors) made this amazing commercial with three little girls: Sabrina, Raven and Reese.
It's a video against stereotypes, against "pink" toys.
Girls, don't underestimate yourselves. You have got a great potential. You can be what you want to be. It could be great to be scientists, mathematicians, engineers or computer programmers! It could be great to create the things you imagine.

Why the toys for girls are not usually toys that encourage girls to enter in technology or engineering?
Why do girls always have to play with dollhouses?
At Our school,  we want to change things, so girls and boys are learning  programming language with two free amazing iPad apps:  Daisy the Dinosaur for 1st & 2nd grades,  Hopscotch  for 3rd & 4th grades and Scratch for 5th & 6th grades.

I really love Hopscotch!!

This week-end in Barcelona

Here I am in Barcelona with our prize for "Think in English" and three photos of some important buildings in the city. One of them is the famous cathedral "La Sagrada Familia" by Gaudí.
I love the Modernist architecture by the genial Antoní Gaudí!
... and now have fun with Freddie Mercury and the Soprano Monserrat Caballé singing the famous song "Barcelona" created for the
Olimpic Games in 1992.

San Walabonso & Menéndez y Pelayo Schools

To teachers and pupils at San Walabonso and Menéndez y Pelayo Schools . Thank you for being so kind!!

These last three days I was out . I traveled to the South of Spain, to be exact to Andalusia to visit two Public Primary schools. One of them is San Walabonso, in Niebla and the other one is Menéndez y Pelayo in Valverde del Camino (Both in Huelva) . There, pupils and teachers work with the New technologies.

These schools are very far from Arteixo:more than one thousand kilometres from our land .It's a long way to Niebla and Valverde del Camino but it doesn't matter because we speak the same "language" . The technology can join people from different places. We are very lucky, don´t you think?

Go to the Wikipedia and find Niebla and Valverde del Camino in Huelva. Then find the two schools in Google and have a look at their great webs!! Finally, Add them to your favourites English folder because you can find lots of resources there. Have a great fun!
